I'm still here....

Hi,

I'm still here..i promise :)
...it's been a good but kaRAZY summer....
so much has changed...for the better....it's just been busy...
Not sure where to start...and if i don't go soon...i wont get my daily shower ...but...

Just wanted to give a quick update..
Hubby got a new, better and less intense job...it's so fun to see him more!
The kiddos can't wait for school, but we've had loads of fun....
We've been...swimming a TON,...we've been to church camp a total of 3 weeks this summer, we went to eagle crest resort for 5 days...with daddy! :)
We went to the coast a couple times ...and we are going again this weekend.

we had a german niece here for over 2 months...that was busier than normal but fun...

So in conclusion...be back soon...i hope...The older 2 start school next wed and mia the next tuesday...

So today has definitely felt like a monday...ya know how those can be? :)
We didn't do anything exciting..just got a new tire on the van etc.

But tonight we are going to a friends house for dinner, that should be fun.. so I best be on my way to make the salad we are taking.

Oh wow! I didn't even realize how stressful it's been, really...having baby Macy sick for weeks on end...til she actually started drinking and eating again (last night) and then slept thru the night for the first time in????

I've got a feeling!

I've got a feeling that I may be posting more often again.... Over the weekend we got the good ole computer back out into the kitchen...dh felt it cluttered things up, but since it's always booted up and ready to go and the labtop isn't...this clutter is worth it to me...also cuz the kiddos can play on this computer and that majorly helps keep the peace when one of em is just needing a distraction while i cook or clean or organize (my latest favorite thing to do!!) :) Today we got ky a big ole rubbermaid (or whatever that brand is) cabinet out and cleaned it out and organized his legos and toy sets and put that in his room. I told him now when he feels bored he can just go there and pick out something to do (lately he is ALWAYS bored :) For those of you who don't know I got to be home all weekend with baby macy who has a sinus and ear infection and also pink eye...poor baby...so she's been on antibiotics for 4 days but still is oh so unhappy and not sleeping or eating...couldn't figure it out but just now found white bumps in her mouth which means she got thrush so now I can treat that and hopefully she will be on the mend. Well, otherwise....not much to say....just on a major target spending spree..i mean the amounts aren't big..mostly we just love their popcorn and the happy feeling there :) Hope you are well!

You're not the only one who... Feels inadequate.... Doesn't finish the housework (pretty much, ever!).... Wishes the sun would shine....... Doesn't know how to stop the sibling rivilary........ Eats chocolate when I get stressed....Wants to lose 10 more pounds but can't find the effort to make it priority...and I don't know if I even care! ;)............... Realizes my life is more stressful than some peoples...but am also starting to realize is much less stressful than others (it's all relative, huh?)...... And last but not least is realizing that seriously most important of all is that the kids are happy, not me! :) (and in turn THAT makes me feel happy...when they are happy, priotities!!! ;)). Hope all's well with you!

How's it going with you?
We are good. Real good. Just working on things this weekend...like the squealing brakes in the van and the yard for hubby...and the squealing kids and housework for me. :)No really, the baby is just squealing, well more like shrieking lately :O Makes me realize how happy she had been for awhile...but anyhow,...i think she is teething!
Anyhow, I started running and am loving it...I am aiming for 5 days a week. I am off in a few minutes here for today's run and the weather couldn't be more delightful.
k, well..i gotta go unload from a costco trip...but have a wonderful weekend

Spring break

We are good...just busy with all kiddos home and hubby filling in for someone at work so he isn't able to be around much...
But, we are headed to the coast for a night with the kiddos and cousins....we are super excited..

We are mostly... ;) super good.
Mia had a "little" surgery last week and it's kind of put a cramp in our style...but otherwise we are just doing the norm.! (she had a lttle growth on her leg removed, they are doing a biopsy to be sure, but think its a spitz nevis a benign form of melanoma or something like that ;)They kind of "forgot" to tell me she can't be on her legs much for 2 weeks..a "little" ? detail with a 4 yr old but anyhow! :)
We are just chillin' watching lots more tv than is probably a great idea, but anyhow.
Otherwise besides teething, macy is great...so cute, walking and talking...when she throws a fit..i try not to react and then she tells me...I'm crying ;) hilarious! as if I didn't notice? :
The other day she was spitting out her milk after taking drinks from her sippy cup and everytime she did it I told her that's bad, so then I took the cup and she looks at me with puppy dog eyes and says that was bad...and then hugs me! she's a bundle of fun and love!
Mia is coping preeeetty well with sittin around and ky and brooke are still doing good in school :)
I am getting in quite a groove of having the kiddos help with chores...it helps a lot!
Hubby still has to work a lot! but that's ok...at least we can pay the bills! :)
Plus..i am looking forward to the womans retreat at church next weekend...i get the whole weekend off!! :)

Hey there,

How is everyone? We are doing well. Everyone seems to be getting over their horrible coughs...so glad...and macy's half way through her antibiotic drop treatment for an ear infection. Thank goodness February is almost over. . .doc says this is the worst month for viruses.

Today we went to see my mom before running errands and Surprise! the kiddos were still home..mia was delighted to have uncle Karl all to herself to play memory and then bb. (I guess they had late start due to "icy" weather. :) Hilarious...but I guess Up in the hills out there maybe it's icy?
Anyhow, so we did our thing...got our errands run and then came home and I battled ky into bed, he has been having a super hard time lately, but he gets up too early and I know he's overtired, so He actually slept for and hour and a half..I'm so so glad.
Also, we have mia's little friend eiley here, so her parents could both go to fundraising...Mia was so happy..(what a fun day for her, huh? :)
I guess she deserves it since her surgery is coming up on thursday.

Well, enough randomness for ya...I guess i should go switch laundry and get ready to get Brooklyn.

It is time

Hey there,

I figured it's been long enough, perhaps I should update! :)
So,
Here's the thing, Nothing really so new to say! ;)
still the same ole' I drag myself out to my big comfy chair in the living room each morning at about 7am...depending on how much squabbling is going on over which show to watch on netflix...sometimes it is a bit earlier or a bit later. I drink myself into a caffeine high ;) and proceed to get kids breakfast and dressed for the day...then we drop kiddos off at school, then usually run an errand or two or visit a friend...one day last week we actually tried out a gym and I actually did cardio for a whole 20 minutes...I know! shocker! :)
At 11;45 we pick up ky from kindergarten and go home and get lunch. I then spend a bit of time debating over whether to do some housework or leave it all for later and relax a bit when the kids have a quiet time...I usually am an idiot and choose leaving it for later...however today i didn't do that and feel much better about myself and my day. (note to self, leaving it for later doesn't actually help me be more motivated at all) anyhow, then around 330 we pick up brooklyn and head home to have a snack, they usually play outside a bit then we do some homework, get dinner etc. Then do bedtime, chores etc.
So,that's my day...my life in a nutshell! :) I know, super exciting!
There were some variations from this in the past week. lets see..on monday we signed papers, refinancing our house which is pretty cool cuz we now pay $150 less a month for our mortgage. Then we went out for our valentines dinner at the olive garden. It was nice (we celebrated together a day early) Cuz on valentines day we took the kiddos to a family party at a friends house. That was wild, with a ton of sugar involved (The kiddos were trippin! ;) but it was fun!
Then last night I went out and cleaned at the church property and then went over to a friends house for a glass of wine, so that was nice.
This weekend I get to go to the youth retreat with dh, so that's gonna be fun!
Anyhow, that's what's up over here.

Today

So today we decided to pack up and head out to the aquatic center that's 20 minutes from here. So we got all dressed, cleaned up, packed up suits and food etc. and headed out....only thing we forgot was...it's not always open swim. The kiddos were pretty disappointed but we made the best of it! ;) We ended up playing at the skate park next door. Well, it's not really a skate park. . just a bunch of ramps and DH in his great wisdom ;)had thrown in the kids scooters and his roller blades (secretly I think he wanted to go to that pool so he could play there, but that's beside the point :)

Anyhow, it is a beautiful sunny day here...it was a reminder of good days to come (and ones gone by) I started getting so excited for summer. It does the soul some good to see some sun! So, we played a while and then headed to costco to further make the kids day! :) They hate grocery shopping, but anyways :) (that is also, beside the point! )

Now Martin is off at the Rose garden and we are just hanging out, watching some quality tv etc. :)(hello kitty) I think we'll play outside some more and do some play-doh and then have a movie night. Good times!

Happy Wednesday,

I really need to get laundry put in the washer and fold a few loads already done...but I am tired so I am blogging instead.

Today Ky had a dentist appointment, so I had a sitter lined up for Mia and Macy...only problem as soon as I set Macy down to play once there she held my legs and cried. :( I wasn't sure what to do, as riding in the car is almost worse to her than being with a sitter,...but I didn't have the heart to leave her so I took her (note, I should have left her) :) She was SO grumpy and I couldn't find parking in the lot, so I had to drive out of the complex to the nearest lot and walk over and we were late....anyhow, it was honestly pretty irritating but, i kept reminding myself, It is possible that I become a new creation, and these situations are the tests. :)

So, that was my day in a nutshell. When we were done we dropped a gift off for Ky's cousin who just had eye surgery and then we dropped off stuff at the library, then picked up Mia (had lunch with them at the sitters with her little boy) and now we are home. All in all, I am so ready for Macy's ears to feel better! (I guess it's my own fault I forgot to give her ibuprophen this morning!

I'm so glad I am done with hcg. The stress of not being able to eat much and not screwing that up...it's not so helpful for a mom!
I ended this (my last) round at 147.8. And that's good enough. I had a HUGE salad for lunch with mushrooms, cucs, baby tomatoes, brocoli and a bit of chicken for lunch. It was delicious!

Tonight I am signed up for cleaning at MCR. I don't feel like going, I am tired, but oh well. I know I will be glad I got out (especially since DH will be gone tomorrow night and all weekend. (at the Church's mens retreat. ) I am tempted to be sad about that...we will miss him. But i am determined to send him with a willing heart. Why would i be sad to send him off to be encouraged and in return i get an even better husband (Not that he's half bad now. but you get my point? :)

K, Enough rambling for today and I apologize that I don't have anything exciting to say!

I am so not inspired to write anymore. Sorry. But then I remember how much I love reading other peoples blog so here I am! :)

Let's see...what is going on with us?
Macy is sick, again! :( I spent the day yesterday out and about cuz of it. Well, first I had a dentist appointment cuz i traumatized my molar by biting on a peppercorn. No really! That was his diagnosis. So he prescribed me an anti-inflammatory which I realized when picking it up, is a steroid so no, I won't be taking that right now! (can't imagine it would be good to do that on hcg and my tooth isn't bothering me right now) I know, I am vain.
Hcg is over. I mean, today is my last day on drops, and I was 148 this morning. I am moving on. I didn't make it to 145 but honestly, what's 3 pounds (this is what I tell myself!) :)

Anyhow, so I got sidetracked, but about Macy she has a nasty cold and cough and in general is just misreable and clingy (which doesn't have to make me misreable, but that's a choice :)
Anyways, she has a ear infection so I am starting ear drops. She should be feeling better soon here...I hope!

I am rather excited that I am joining a gym. I called today and figured out that if I spend 55 bucks a month I can get me and the girls a membership to a fitness/activity center, so if I want I can put them in childcare or instead I could swim with them or do other activities or kids fitness classes (so cute :) I am excited.

Otherwise, it's the same ole ;) Lots of laundry to fold and put away and lots of laundry to wash. :) Speaking of which I really should go do that! :)

HCG

Hey,

So, I have tried to not make this blog all about weight cuz that's not what I want my life to revolve around...but it is important to me to feel good and since I didn't feel as good about my weight as I wanted at 155, I decided to do HCG one more round. I am on my 13th day and this morning I was down to 148.8. This is so fun for me. . . as I don't remember ever weighing that amount (passed that number right up at age 13 :(
Anyhow, it's not easy (the diet) but it works really well. I am down to a size 8-10 (not super small, but small for me :) and a s/m. . .Now if I can just get through the next 5 days of low calorie! :) . . weekends are easier for me...they are busier and not as lonely cuz DH is around.. but anyhow. . that's what's new around here!

Tonight we are visiting a family as a family :) for dinner, so I am REALLY looking forward to that! (it forces DH home for dinnertime! :)

Otherwise, nothing is new besides the flooding around town (Oh my goodness, it's been raining!)

I guess I should go make the salad I promised to bring tonight and switch the wash, so my jeans are dry! :) And do my other chores.....

on shopping

Isn't it so totally random how sometimes (usually when you don't have money or have to have anything in particular) you find tons of options and things on sale. (I'm mostly talking about clothes here) :) And when you have money and time and really need to find something in particular, there are no options ;)

Anyhow, totally randomly this morning (meaning I wasn't planning to go shopping for the wedding this morning) but I ended up going shopping. I went out to MCR to drop off the older three for the can drive and I was going to just head home or maybe run to the grocery store with macy, but then Maryanne asked what I was doing and said she was running to ross. :) SO...we ended up going for a coffee and then doing some shopping and i was seriously amazed that I ended up with 3 options for the wedding. :) Happy dance! (i'll probably just keep one, but I can't decide.

So, that's what's up over here. I really should go switch laundry and then fold some...so I gotta go. but Happy weekend

Motivation

Hey there~

Lately I am just lacking the motivation...ya know how that goes? Like I just have to tell myself just go do it..the housework. Ahh, I'm not just lazy, am I? I don't know . . lately I'm just lacking the umph! ya know?

Anyhow, not much else is new. I am supposed to go to a wedding shower tonight, so I am hoping DH gets home in time for that.. oh and I bought a dress this morning for the wedding next weekend. I loved it! and it was only 11 bucks, but...It was too slinky and just kind of shows off all I don't want to show off, aka the post c-section mama belly! :) So I hope dh not only makes it home in time for the shower but a bit earlier to watch kiddos so I can return that and try again..think thicker material on the next try! ;) Anyhow, I guess that is hoping a bit much of DH, but ya just never know, so I am off to make pizza for them to eat,...just in case...so I can run out the door.

Otherwise, all is pretty much...well.. Macy is just recovering from a virus she came down with....

Little Miss Macy Grace

Tonight I'd like to talk about being thankful, something I feel I am struggling with lately. You see, my precious little baby is growing and so is her will (and I'll give her this, her teeth, the dang molars!) In any case, on a regular basis I feel a bit suffocated. You see, she is totally a mama's girl. But when something (her teeth, her ears, her siblings, you name it!) are bothering her, she is so dang clingy. Now I totally realize when I say that, if you haven't really experienced her/my life on a daily basis...you may think this is just a random complaint. But it gets so crazy that i literally can't walk away from her (even to pee) without her grabbing my leg and yelling mamamamamama! So trying to drive anywhere, walk her in the stroller or basically do anything besides hold her can literally turn into a rather torturous experience on the nerves.
BUT!

Then when I stop and really think, i'm like seriously? Come on, Jen. Only a year ago I was thanking God from the bottom of my heart for saving my baby's life and now I "want" to complain that she wants me to hold her. (I mean, it is a "little" extreme, often.) But I'm really going to work to keep perspective here. Soon she will be grown and gone and I am going to choose to enjoy these years, rather than look back in five or ten and wish I had. I mean, she is pretty dang cute! And sweet (when you don't cross her will! I mean if she sees a fruit snack-you better hand over the whole package ASAP!) :)

Anyways, that's just what's on my mind tonight!

(P.S. Not that anyone is judging, but just in case...I thought to add this note- I don't actually (normally) :) just hand over what she wants, and therefore..I "hear" about it! ;) And yes, I know this is my job,...to teach my kiddos, I'm just saying that some day/days are harder than other days. Ya know how it is!)
