Confessions of a busy mom, part 1

-Yesterday I bought 2 books at Costco only because I didn't have 15 extra min. to stop in at the library :)

-I decided I LOVE taking walks with my kids, took 2 already today and plan to take as many as possible, especially as the weather gets nicer.

-If you just wear a hat, hood or headband, no one can tell if you showered or not... no I don't think I stink yet??? ;-)

-My kids never eat breakfast at the kitchen table, unless their dad is home too :)

-Sometimes they don't eat lunch at the table either ;)

-An added blessing of being so busy, I rarely have time to weigh myself anymore, thus less obsessing about it ;) Which is a good thing as long as I mostly stick to what I should be eating (veg, fruit and lean proteins) (let's not talk about what I ate last weekend, ok? :)

-Even though I am totally a social butterfly, I mostly prefer to stay home.

What I am excited about

.....is play dates. When my kids were younger, it didn't make much sense to invite more littles over most days and I always felt bad to send them to someone elses house unless I was there to help supervise, but then I come 3 more kids in tow (besides said child) having the play date.

Anyhow, lately my kids have been having play dates a bit and it is SO cool for me too :) cuz that child is SO excited and has such a good time playing with their friend...I mean they have built in best friends, but ya know how it is...they don't always love their best friends (sisters and brother :)

Other than that....what else is new? Hmm...well, the kids are all done with their antibiotics (for now ;) Macy has slept through the entire night for 3 nights! :) :) :)
It is friday and I am SUPER excited about it :) I am pretty sure I have DH convinced that I will be going to youth group tonight and then tomorrow we are taking the kids swimming in the morning. They are over the top, completely thrilled. You would think we were taking them to disneyland or something. They have been talking about it for days :) they LOVE swimming. Anyhow, then Brooklyn has a birthday party tomorrow pm and we are having a date night tomorrow night! YES! ;) and sunday I may be going to the movies with a friend...
Anyhow, I should go for now. The child who is currently home is asking for lunch ;)

Happy Friday. Happy Weekend.

Antibiotics

Hi Y'all!

So, a followup, real quick, after my last post.
Thank God antibiotics! :)
All 4, yes, all 4 of my precious kiddos are on them and they work wonders :)
Everyone is feeling better and hopefully one day in the next year :) everyone will start sleeping better (Macy really likes to be up in the night, but it's ok, i still love her, good thing she is so cute :)

For now, I am making good use of a large pack of paper plates :) half of us are still wearing jammies and we mostly stay home :) And it's ok. This is just a stage in life and I am sure one day will be different :)

Ok, I seriously apologize for having nothing more exciting to say, but I gotta go get DD from kindergarten.

Oh, I do get to go to a woman's retreat for the weekend and DH will have all 3 older kids (Older, who am I kidding, they are only toddlers still ;)

Have a GREAT day, it's almost friday!

Nothing exciting

Happy Monday!

So what's not exciting or new, but happening over here...IS...The "tiny yucky germs" are still around. :)
My oldest came down with strep throat on Wed. last week, then spent thursday throwing up her meds. :( That was interesting! :) Then the baby Macy has double ear infections and her antibiotic got dropped on the ground, shattering the $95 meds, so those needed replacing, now my boy seems to be ill and my DD3 is complaining about her ear and the baby has a bad rash, so we are taking a little fam. trip down to the pediatric clinic :)
Aw well, such is life, huh?

The good thing is my DH has been super duper helpful and even worked from home today, so as to take the above mentioned fam. trip with us ;)

The reason I mention the above is, this is what I have been busy with, so this is why I have not been blogging much :)

On a happier note, I have been LOVING the sun. OH MY GOODNESS, it makes me happy that it has been shining!
Yesterday I went out and ran 3 miles, it was absolutely wonderful. I have completely cut out all dairy, sugar and wheat for health reasons, and am now back down to my lowest weight :)

Anyhow, I know this post was random and unexciting, but I have nothing more exciting to say and I have to go get ready to go to the dr.
Hope you are well and have a great week!

A Thank You and on "feeling overwhelmed"

Hi,

Sorry I went missing for a few days there. I am currently staying with my bros and sis that live at home, since my mom and dad are on vacation (Which I am super happy for them, I would like to add :)

Anyhow, I would like to send out a HUGE Thank you to all readers for commenting. :) I got SO excited to see I had 3 comments on my last post : (note to self: have more exciting topics if possible, from now on :)

Anyways, I am not currently, as in today, at this moment :) feeling overwhelmed, it may have something to do with the fact that I along with my younger three kids am tucked in for a rest time :) and my oldest is playing with her aunt downstairs :) Also, the aunt watched them all morning for me ;)
But anywho..back to my point.
..I was thinking this morning that it's interesting how as a mom I tend to get all worked up sometimes and feel totally overwhelmed, but it always ends up working out in the end, so there really is no point in allowing myself to feel that way. Now, obviously we can't help what we "feel" like, but I don't need to feed those thoughts and let them control me. And then another thought occurred to me. Being overwhelmed and feeling anxious are pretty much equal to one another, which led to another thought a verse that was helpful to think about
Phil.4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
And with that...I will leave you with the thought that SLEEP can cure lots of issues as well :)
I shall nap now :)
