Fasting

Today i was up 2.4 pounds. So I am fasting til dinner.
Previously (even yesterday) I had this major feeling of dread over maybe needing to fast, but last night I decided I don't actually mind. In some ways it actually is easier to just know. . .I won't be eating anything at all til dinner (or during hcg, til the next super small meal you can have :) Than to be "allowed" to eat anything as long as in moderation and as long as you don't gain too much. Cuz honestly, it is pretty hard to figure out what and how much to eat to keep off this weight. I honestly haven't eaten SO much since adding back in more food and my weight seems to just be pushing upward. So, i am hoping this fasting will force it back down and then hopefully it will stabalize a bit more.

On a different note, I went shopping again last night. :) This time for new lounging/work out gear. Cuz my size L are too big. Yes, you heard that right. I (me who used to wear size 1x, I wear a size M) It seemed so crazy to me to look at size Mediums and even smalls. And they fit! I can't even believe it myself! SO SUPER FUN! :) (No, I am not saying I don't have any love handles or a muffin top, but I can't wear size L anymore, my old pants look ridiculous!) (I am focusing on the positive here :)

Not much else is new. We are just hanging out at home today. I still have "that laundry" to fold :) and my sweet (crazy :) baby MUST be put back on a schedule. :) She is REALLY out of wack and i don't think it helps when I tote her around town when she needs a nap! (she has started to FREEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAK out when I put her to bed. It is probably also seperation anxiety + teething. But even after rocking her, giving her tylenol, changing her and feeding her and her being up for hours, she refuses to sleep. Last night she woke up at 10 and was awake til 2 am. Yeah, I think she needs a little more routine/schedule, so I am doing what I can! :)

Well, I should go get to that laundry.
But, Have a super day and pray the sun shines again soon, Please!? ;)

close call

So today I was up exactly 2 pounds from my ending weight. That was totally a wake up call. I have to be careful. And yesterday I wasn't careful enough. I know I had too many carbs. ..for me.
So I think I may post what I eat, for the next three weeks. I don't want to get all obsessive, but I know that will keep me accountable which is good. Cuz I know I don't want to have to fast all day :)

On a different but healthy note, I am back at the gym this morning. I am just going to do some cardio, the elliptical for now. I don't want to overdo it since I haven't been working out these last few weeks.

What else is new? I washed lots of loads of laundry and have a few more to wash before sitting down to fold them all. (Note to self, next time I feel like ignoring it, just remember it will all still be there for me later. I don't have a maid ;( And there is no laundry fairy or anything like that :) :)

I am so happy the sun is shining. And that's all for now!
Happy day

An early start

Hi y'all.

So, the way it works (hcg) is after quitting the drops..you are supposed to continue the low cal (500 cal.) diet til the drops are out of your system. They suggest 3 days, but my friends told me it normally happens sooner and that you can tell they are out cuz you feel super hungry suddenly. THAT happened to me yesterday. I had planned to continue low cal through today..but yesterday I woke up STARVING! So, half way through the day yesterday I started adding normal food back in.
I was careful but ate a few bites of what was served for dinner and dessert (we were at my moms last night for dinner) And today I was only up .4.
I was glad cuz you are supposed to weigh every single morning and if you are up any more than 2 pounds you have to fast til dinner. (you continue this for 3 weeks at which point you can do another round of drops and low cal or else proceed to maintain and your weight should stay stable. I plan to do one more round)

Anyhow, all else is well. We went to the dr this morning to check baby macy's ears, but I guess she is just teething (she hasn't been sleeping as well as one could hope) ;)
Then we ran by the store and said hi to a friend real quick before picking up Brooklyn. Now I am just working on laundry etc. FUN TIMES :) :)

Well, I hope you are well. I will check back in tomorrow.

on day 1 without drops

Yesterday went well. It helps a lot to stay busy. As mentioned yesterday, I spent the morning grocery shopping and then we worked around our house, inside and out. We have lots of little (and big) :) projects to get done, so it felt good to tackle some of it. (one of them being putting in a fence around the entire yard, and taking out a few trees and planting more grass, I am SO excited for a bigger yard :)
Anyhow, after working a bit we had a bbq with the kids. It was simple but fun. We roasted some marshmellows after eating. Then the kids did some sparklers we had saved from the 4th of July last year. :)

About my weight, it was down .2. Which is ok, I don't really expect it to go down at all, since I am not using the drops anymore.

About my clothes shopping last night. It went ok. I got a few things. 1 real cute dressy outfit, the other things just necessities. Like a tshirt, 2 tank tops etc. So it was fun, but not the best clothes shopping experience EVER :) But, that's ok. I didn't want to buy tons anyhow, cuz I plan to do one more round. So I don't want to buy too much at this size, since I don't know what Size exactly I will be once at my goal weight.

I hope you are well. Have a fantastic day.

You know you are a Stay at home mom when...

Going to the grocery store alone is a super fun outing :) :) That's what I did this morning and I totally enjoyed myself! ;)

Today I was down .6 more.
Today was my first day off the drops (I have 2 more left of this low calorie diet and then I introduce normal foods again carefully) It has gone surprisingly well.

Tonight I am going out clothes shopping. Here is to hoping I find some new clothes that fit :)

Have a great weekend.

Late to bed and early to rise

............Makes a mama tired! :)
We ended up watching a James Bond movie last night, so needless to say, we didn't get to bed early. The kids however, did! SO...
This morning 5:45 and wa-la in walked mia and a minute later macy could be heard talking,(dadada :) Anyhow, that can kinda be expected around this part of town ;)
So, I will probably just drink lots of coffee and call it good :)

On the scale, I was down .4, which I was thankful for after yesterday. Today is my last day of drops. And then I have 3 days of the same diet without drops before adding back in more calories.

Gotta go, Macy is determined to type as well ;) HAPPY FRIDAY! It's the weekend :) or almost. (We are going to plant a garden tomorrow, or that's the plan! :)

over it

That's how i am feeling. I am over it. . .ready to be done with this round. And the fact that I was up on the scale (it was only .2, but still!) doesn't help. BUT,

That is just how i am feeling. It doesn't matter. . I am continuing on. I will stick this out as planned. I am in control!

Otherwise, we are doing well. REALLY glad it is sunny out and looks like the summer is finally approaching soon. We were out today, enjoying a new pack of bubbles and lots of toys (thanks, Ruth Anne)

I had a really nice visit with a friend this morning. . She has a huge backyard and the kids got to jump on the trampoline, play on a tire swing and have a great time, while we caught up. That was quite delightful.

On a totally different note, I notice I am having a REAL aversion to housework lately, not sure if it is the diet or just a stage I am going through (my guess is it's the diet...I don't have much energy) So I look forward to that being over. . but for today I am done with the dishes and laundry.(or caught up for now, I mean) So that is nice.

One of my brothers is going to bring icecream for dessert and my little sisters and brother to visit, so that will be fun for all of us. Oh and the finale of bones is on tonight, so i am looking forward to that :)

Tons of random thoughts for ya! ;)
Hope you are well.
Later :)

.8

Good morning.
Today was better than expected on the scale as well. .8 more down.

I am off to drop DD off for kindergarten and then off to visit a friend, so I better scoot. Sorry this is so short.

Enjoy the sunshine. It does wonders for me :)
Happy wednesday, half way done with the week (or all done if you are a lucky person who is going on vacation tomorrow!) :)

a little note

Just wanted to log on real quick and say I lost .6. I was happy about that. I guess cuz I have this secret fear I won't lose much more, since i am almost done with this round. I can't believe I did it. I am almost done with an entire 3 weeks of eating so super little and being super disciplined. I am very proud of myself :)
I have just 3 days left on the drops and then a few more when I am supposed to eat very low cal til the drops are out of my system.

Well, it is quiet time here :) and I am off to watch an episode of castle :)
Happy tuesday.

Another 1 bites the dust

Yes! :) I was so happy this morning to find a whole pound lost. So super rewarding!
I have decided to go back to eating chicken twice a day. Cuz the days I switched it up to egg whites and/or taco meat were the days I didn't or barely lost. That could have been coincidental but it's not worth it to me.

Otherwise also, today has been a good day. Ruth Anne came to visit bearing a gift. A great sugarfree espresso drink for me. Thanks RA. And now I have been outside with my kids for an hour while they actually mostly played ;) (instead of squabbling) so super thankful its not raining. I am so excited for summer.

Have a great monday, jen

.2 down

So, today i only lost .2. But, I am looking at it this way in 13 days I lost a total of 11.6 pounds, instead of feeling bummed....And as Ruth Anne keeps assuring me...I am losing fat on these days, even if not losing much weight.

Anyhow, yesterday we ended up going to the farm with the kids. We petted the animals, played on the playgrounds and (they:) got doughnut samples. It was really nice to just enjoy the day together. Then in the afternoon everyone napped and then I did LOTS of laundry. Feels good to be a bit more caught up.

Well, i should go...get started getting ready for church.
Happy Sunday to you!

no more beef

I didn't lose today! WAH! :(

I have two thoughts about it...yesterday I had extra lean beef for dinner, which I have never done on hcg. I am wondering if that wasn't as good for the diet as chicken (or shrimp). The other thing is my friends have warned me, I am getting to those few days in the middle when the loss really slows down..in any case, I am continuing to plug along. And i am going to appreciate how far I have come! It's crazy how if you allow yourself to feel negatively, it doesn't matter what the scale says, it's never low enough. I am really working on being content with my loss.

In other news, we have no plans this weekend(well, besides church on sunday) and i am really excited about that. It looks like the sun is going to shine again today and I am excited about that too. We spent almost all day yesterday (up til bedtime even) outside and it is therapeutic or something! I want to do something fun with the kids and Hubby outside today.

Anyhow, have a super duper weekend. I'll be back :)

What's new over here

Hi,

I hope I still have at least a few people willing to read? :)
Sorry I tend to going MIA, but just FYI I have a feeling I will be around a bit more in the next few weeks. .cuz I have a new topic to write about :)....

HCG, the Hcg diet..Yes, I joined that wagon! :) And i have been VERY pleased with the results. I am down 8.5 pounds since my last post. (I have lost a total of 11.5 on the diet, but 3 pounds were weight I gained during the first two "loading days".
Anyhow, I am very pleased. It is a very rigid diet and I know not all people agree with the theory, but I have seen it work well for many people and read up on it and wish I would have known about it 10 years ago.

Otherwise, we are doing well...just getting over another round of strep throat ( my poor kids) so it is nice to be healthy again. Here's to hoping cold season is OVER for this year! :)

I have been loving the sun that has been making an appearance at some point every day. It is just fantastic. I have been sitting out a b it each day, as I kindly command the "littles" to play outside :) It is good for all of us :)

In other news, I was so proud of Brooklyn. Her writing piece was selected to be honored at a writing festival in town. She was the kindergarten child selected from her school to be honored. It was so cute, there was a whole ceremony and she got an award and autographed book by a childrens author from Lincoln city.

Well, it's about rest time around here, so I better go get kids settled, but I hope you are doing well. And if you read and have time, please, pretty please...let me know ;)

Taking a day

Hi! Yes, I am still alive and kicking :) Sorry if I caused you alarm by not posting in SO SO long. I guess I got out of the habit AND I feel like I dont ever do much out of the ordinary so I am never sure what to post about. ;)

But, today I am taking a day. DH is home ALL day for the first time in like 3 weeks. (he has been super busy with work and/or fundraising and then last weekend we had a church retreat, so we were busy all weekend. Anyhow, so we are taking a day. A day to relax (as much as you can with 4 kids) :) but ...we are just going with the flow with no agenda and although that is not easy for me, (i am always tempted to try to be more productive :) it IS so nice ;)

What have we been up to lately, you ask? The norm....pretty much. We went to a carnival at the school the other night, it was kind of fun, I think...for the kids (we kind of stayed a bit late and then had to still walk home, so that ended differently than planned ;) The retreat we went to at church was fun. It was nice to be around friends all weekend long.

In other news....I know I am CONSTANTLY changing my mind on this...But one day a few weeks ago (right after posting last :) I decided that I was really tired of trying to convince myself I don't care what I weigh, when I actually do. SO..
I joined the gym and started being really disciplined and I have lost 8 pounds :) 2 more til prepregnancy. It feels good to be accomplishing that. Cuz it has been an underlying stress for too long!

Well, I hope you are all well. Have a wonderful weekend!

Confessions of a busy mom, part 1

-Yesterday I bought 2 books at Costco only because I didn't have 15 extra min. to stop in at the library :)

-I decided I LOVE taking walks with my kids, took 2 already today and plan to take as many as possible, especially as the weather gets nicer.

-If you just wear a hat, hood or headband, no one can tell if you showered or not... no I don't think I stink yet??? ;-)

-My kids never eat breakfast at the kitchen table, unless their dad is home too :)

-Sometimes they don't eat lunch at the table either ;)

-An added blessing of being so busy, I rarely have time to weigh myself anymore, thus less obsessing about it ;) Which is a good thing as long as I mostly stick to what I should be eating (veg, fruit and lean proteins) (let's not talk about what I ate last weekend, ok? :)

-Even though I am totally a social butterfly, I mostly prefer to stay home.

What I am excited about

.....is play dates. When my kids were younger, it didn't make much sense to invite more littles over most days and I always felt bad to send them to someone elses house unless I was there to help supervise, but then I come 3 more kids in tow (besides said child) having the play date.

Anyhow, lately my kids have been having play dates a bit and it is SO cool for me too :) cuz that child is SO excited and has such a good time playing with their friend...I mean they have built in best friends, but ya know how it is...they don't always love their best friends (sisters and brother :)

Other than that....what else is new? Hmm...well, the kids are all done with their antibiotics (for now ;) Macy has slept through the entire night for 3 nights! :) :) :)
It is friday and I am SUPER excited about it :) I am pretty sure I have DH convinced that I will be going to youth group tonight and then tomorrow we are taking the kids swimming in the morning. They are over the top, completely thrilled. You would think we were taking them to disneyland or something. They have been talking about it for days :) they LOVE swimming. Anyhow, then Brooklyn has a birthday party tomorrow pm and we are having a date night tomorrow night! YES! ;) and sunday I may be going to the movies with a friend...
Anyhow, I should go for now. The child who is currently home is asking for lunch ;)

Happy Friday. Happy Weekend.

Antibiotics

Hi Y'all!

So, a followup, real quick, after my last post.
Thank God antibiotics! :)
All 4, yes, all 4 of my precious kiddos are on them and they work wonders :)
Everyone is feeling better and hopefully one day in the next year :) everyone will start sleeping better (Macy really likes to be up in the night, but it's ok, i still love her, good thing she is so cute :)

For now, I am making good use of a large pack of paper plates :) half of us are still wearing jammies and we mostly stay home :) And it's ok. This is just a stage in life and I am sure one day will be different :)

Ok, I seriously apologize for having nothing more exciting to say, but I gotta go get DD from kindergarten.

Oh, I do get to go to a woman's retreat for the weekend and DH will have all 3 older kids (Older, who am I kidding, they are only toddlers still ;)

Have a GREAT day, it's almost friday!

Nothing exciting

Happy Monday!

So what's not exciting or new, but happening over here...IS...The "tiny yucky germs" are still around. :)
My oldest came down with strep throat on Wed. last week, then spent thursday throwing up her meds. :( That was interesting! :) Then the baby Macy has double ear infections and her antibiotic got dropped on the ground, shattering the $95 meds, so those needed replacing, now my boy seems to be ill and my DD3 is complaining about her ear and the baby has a bad rash, so we are taking a little fam. trip down to the pediatric clinic :)
Aw well, such is life, huh?

The good thing is my DH has been super duper helpful and even worked from home today, so as to take the above mentioned fam. trip with us ;)

The reason I mention the above is, this is what I have been busy with, so this is why I have not been blogging much :)

On a happier note, I have been LOVING the sun. OH MY GOODNESS, it makes me happy that it has been shining!
Yesterday I went out and ran 3 miles, it was absolutely wonderful. I have completely cut out all dairy, sugar and wheat for health reasons, and am now back down to my lowest weight :)

Anyhow, I know this post was random and unexciting, but I have nothing more exciting to say and I have to go get ready to go to the dr.
Hope you are well and have a great week!

A Thank You and on "feeling overwhelmed"

Hi,

Sorry I went missing for a few days there. I am currently staying with my bros and sis that live at home, since my mom and dad are on vacation (Which I am super happy for them, I would like to add :)

Anyhow, I would like to send out a HUGE Thank you to all readers for commenting. :) I got SO excited to see I had 3 comments on my last post : (note to self: have more exciting topics if possible, from now on :)

Anyways, I am not currently, as in today, at this moment :) feeling overwhelmed, it may have something to do with the fact that I along with my younger three kids am tucked in for a rest time :) and my oldest is playing with her aunt downstairs :) Also, the aunt watched them all morning for me ;)
But anywho..back to my point.
..I was thinking this morning that it's interesting how as a mom I tend to get all worked up sometimes and feel totally overwhelmed, but it always ends up working out in the end, so there really is no point in allowing myself to feel that way. Now, obviously we can't help what we "feel" like, but I don't need to feed those thoughts and let them control me. And then another thought occurred to me. Being overwhelmed and feeling anxious are pretty much equal to one another, which led to another thought a verse that was helpful to think about
Phil.4:6-7
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
And with that...I will leave you with the thought that SLEEP can cure lots of issues as well :)
I shall nap now :)

Embrace it and Just do it

These are two things I have been thinking of lately...The first is to follow up my latest post about acceptance. Acceptance, in my opinion is the first step, but the second is embracing...That is what I am learning, not only to accept what my life is right now. That in itself is huge, but then to take a step farther forward and embrace it. Love it. Why do I let the way "I am" naturally or what I "like" to do naturally...get in the way of just accepting what my life is NOW and embracing it. My kids are actually pretty darn cute and do and say pretty darn cute things too and they have little "important" needs that I so easily ignore cuz of my "to do list" be that something I want or something else I "think" is important besides my kids. (one of these "important" needs was my 6 year old sharing that it was cuz of the dumb little germs that kept her home all week that she missed being the door holder as her "job" at school...apparently this is the "best" job of them all :( I felt bad that it took her all day to admit that to me, as in at bedtime, cuz I was busy doing my own thing all afternoon, for selfish reasons, not good ones :( But I can change and this I will do.
The second thought- Just do it..is one I am applying to housework. Now, there are some days and some times that the kids need attention or something else actually does need my attention so I don't have time for my housework. But, there are other times I just don't "feel" like doing the dishes one more time or the laundry or whatever. And I DO know the difference. :) In the case of the latter, I am finding that it really helps to just apply the saying "Just do it." It always feels better to be productive. So I have been working with that, just plunging in and getting the job done, rather than procrastinating and thinking about how I wish I didn't have to do it or I am tired or whatever! Seriously! And eating a good snack certainly doesn't help me "feel" like doing it either. I just need to "Just do it" and with that said. I need to just finish cleaning up a few things and get to bed. DH is fundraising til real late, so it will be my turn to get up at sunrise with the kids :)
On a happy note, Baby Macy has had 2 nights of sleeping all night long. HOORAY Baby Mace :)

Acceptance

I have been thinking lately, acceptance is really the key to happiness.
I have been really working on just accepting the way things are right now, and it does bring a peace to my life.
Accept the fact, my baby (s) :) don't sleep well right now=I feel much less energetic and patient. Accept it! I can't change it. Lower expectations of myself and said baby (s) :) Life is way easier to bear and I feel happier cuz of it.
Accept my weight. When I obsess about it, I have SUCH a hard time being nice and feeling happy. And my milk starts to dry up. Accept= maybe right now isn't the right time to prioritize that.
Accept the fact that my kids seem to Always be sick lately=GRUMPY babies. Acceptance=not expecting much cooperation from them.
Accept the fact that I like to be out and about but my life lately is much easier to live when mostly just at home. Acceptance=realizing that's the phase of life I am in right now.
Acceptance-it really is key!
I think :)

What I am loving

I was thinking earlier about things that make me happy. . (it seems to be that time of year, we all miss the sun or something?)

Anyhow, So I came up with a few things that made me happy recently..

1. My crock pot, currently I have chili simmering in it :)

2. Fresh linens on our bed, they smell SUPER good ;)

3. SLEEPING :)

4. Feeling productive. Today I did laundry, took a walk with my kids, remade our bed with above said fresh sheets. Made granola bars, did the dishes, feed all 4 kids and myself :) Tried to take a nap (but I drank too much coffee, so I couldn't sleep :) Took a shower, paid the bills...

5. The way I feel when I don't eat wheat, dairy or sugar.

6. Reading other peoples blogs

7. Watching castle episodes (hopefully tonight :)

8. The sun (looking forward to the summer)

9. Texting with my friends, especially Ruth Anne :)

10. When my kids play nicely together :)

Saturday, February 19, 2011

Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks for your kind comments on my last post. I had no idea how much it would help...to hear some kind words. :)
After reading Ruth Anne's comment I was realizing how I tend to not credit any of my hard days or sad feelings toward the likelihood of losing my mom. It feels like so long ago that we found out that she is sick, so I must be over it or something (NOT!) (as I was cleaning up tonight, I found a card my mom wrote and gave to me the morning I went in to have Macy and I bawled. What she wrote didn't even completely make sense, due to her tumor pressing on her brain so much. ..
but it was the last thing she wrote to me before we got the life altering news 3 weeks later.)
Anyhow, I got that pile of clothes put away...that felt good :)
And I just wanted to say thanks to all of you who care.
I have good friends :)

Keeping it real

I try to keep it positive on here and usually am pretty positive. So, I haven't been talking about the "real" issues much on here. Which is why I haven't posted much on here :) But today I decided to keep it real, so here goes

I am pretty disgusted with myself. It's not my fault really and sanity matters more than the following, but here's my confession-I have become SUCH a lazy person. What started as trying to cut out all unnecessary work AKA paper plates and easy food for kids (bagels, string cheese, gogurts, hotdogs, chicken nuggets) etc. you get my point? And sometimes just sitting on the couch all morning (well, whenever my kids didn't NEED something) :) Has turned into sheer laziness and it is affecting every area of my life. It has really made me feel disgusting which in turn makes me feel unmotivated to eat right and over all it is just bad.

I mean, I am having to convince myself to do daily household chores.

Now, in my defense...I have not been getting ANY sleep. Seriously! Baby Macy has NOT been sleeping more than a few hours at a time on any given night....lots of nights it has been every 45 min she is up. It's pretty much insane, so it's totally normal to not feel up to do anything, right? But, I see how it is becoming habit and it BUGS me. I will not become a fat, lazy mom who takes the easy road every time just because I don't Feel like cleaning a little. It's good to discipline oneself and feel accomplished.

Anyhow, last night for the first night in forever, maybe ever Macy slept 12 hours straight :) It seems like when I really work with her during the day to take good naps, she sleeps even better at night, so I am hoping we will continue this good streak and I will feel more motivated, but even if not, I will not let myself just be a lazy person. It's one thing to take a "mental health" day :) But, that can't become my norm.

It's also affecting my eating. I "feel" fat, so I am really struggling to make good eating choices. And am back up to the weight I started my ticker with. :(

Anyhow, I now choose to get up and put away the huge pile of my clothes, that I have been piling in the corner of my room for a week. I am not a lazy person, I swear I am not ;)

Taking a moment

Just taking a moment to say hi. Hard to believe it is only 8 pm and quiet round here. Maybe a first since baby Mace (Ky calls her that :) Anyhow, getting ready to start a movie with DH :) Looking forward to it.
Hope y'all had a fantastic weekend :)

Not giving up

Sometimes when you aren't making progress or even taking a few steps backward (having an "off day" (or week :) you feel like saying "forget it"! It's too hard to lose weight, ya know?
BUT, actually all the times I make good decisions do slowly but surely add up to a pound lost. Even a part of a pound lost counts :)
Anyhow, I am exhausted so I am not sure yet if this post makes sense... :) But, my point is...I am not giving up. . even though I set back my ticker and I have only lost 2.2 pounds since I started "trying" to lose weight...That's ok. If I hadn't have tried I would still weigh 2.2 pounds more.
SO, I plan to try harder from here on out...and stay positive!
It's almost friday. :)

Wednesday, February 9, 2011

I'm thankful for

1. THE SUN! enough said :)

2. Coffee. Period. end of the sentence. :)

3. Deodorant (for any day I don't have time to shower :)

4. Wine ;)

5. My sister Kara (who promised to babysit after school so I can go grocery shopping)

Happy Wednesday.

Weight loss, tax refunds and a weekend trip :)

I lost weight again! New weight, as in almost a full pound down from my very lowest weight since Macy. :) Now, I know you may be thinking one pound...you are super excited about one pound? But, it was hard earned! And it excites me cuz I haven't seen that number on the scale in almost a year now. :)
It's really interesting that I was down 2.2 since yesterday morning actually...seeing as I haven't even counted calories in the last 2 days and all last week I did count and I didn't lose. The difference? I cut out dairy and wheat and almost all sugar. VERY interesting, huh? So, that's my new plan. :) I plan to keep seeing lower numbers :) (OH and my ankle is better, so I did walk dd to school wed and we went on a bike ride/jog over to the cousins house yesterday after dinner. (meaning, the kids rode bikes and I jogged to keep up with them. It was a decent workout :)
And the bottom line is...even though I feel like I have been at it forever, I have only been actively trying to lose weight for 22 days now. And I started my ticker when I got my new scale..so really I have lost 5 pounds in 22 days. Not too shabby!

Anyhow, something else that excites me is that DH figured our taxes the other night and we are getting a REFUND! :) Yay!

Lastly, this is the most exciting....I am going away for the night. Just me and Macy :) With Ruth Anne....and Josh :) I can't wait. We are going up to Seattle for a wedding. I wish DH could attend, but he felt the kids need him to stay with them and I couldn't agree more. They have missed him, as he has been very busy with work. I am excited to have a night "off" and enjoy the company of very good friends :)

Happy friday!

Today

Everything always looks brighter in the morning. :)
Macy seems to feel better. Thank the purple dye I put in her mouth 2x a day for 5 days after the sores are gone. :)

I am down .6 today. Not my lowest weight, but at least the scale is heading down not up.

I walked DD to school so that was good. :)

And I am drinking a white mocha. Thank you very much!

My mom and sis are here to visit, so I will go for now.

Happy Wednesday.

Please fix my baby!

...............That's what I begged the pediatrician today. And he did. :) I haven't talked about it much on here. . I guess cuz I try to be positive, but my baby...She has been pretty sad lately and it has been getting harder and harder to keep her happy.
I just haven't been able to figure out how to help her. She has been awake lots in the night and not napping well, but not feeding well either. My latest theory was she was not getting enough to eat, so I have been supplementing, but still she isn't the same baby she had been. Anyhow, so at her 4 month check up today, I begged the doc. ;) and he amazingly figured it out. She has thrush, big sores in her mouth. She has had it before, but always in the front, so I could see the sores on her tongue. But this time they are in the back and on the cheeks. . and they are BIG. My poor baby, it must hurt so bad, no wonder she didn't want to suck for 30 minutes to fill her tummy. anyhow! Having an answer makes me so happy. Cuz when baby ain't happy, mommy ain't happy and then nobody is happy. :)

What else is new? Oh yeah, the van battery died so when I went to get DD from school I was late, but Ruth Anne was quick to rescue me cuz she thankfully was at the kids club with me :) Which was so super nice to see her.

I am super duper tired, so I have nothing exciting to say, so I best go to bed now.

Hope you are well.

P.S. I have no idea why, but I am not losing weight for some reason. Even though I have been eating really well....? I was actually up again this morning, for no reason. GRRR!
Oh well, there are too many other things to worry about currently ;)
